JAN 5, 2012: I came out to the barn this morning around 10:30 am and noticed that Parfait had quite the udder going on so finished chores and came back to her standing off to the side (around 11:15 am) and sure enough her back was arching and she started pushing, at 12:05 pm the first kid (doeling) was born and 10 minutes later a buckling followed. Finally I have the first kids of the season :)

JAN 7, 2012: C girl decided that it was her turn and waited for our company to arrive before she kidded, it was 3:30 pm when we all went out to the barn and low and behold there was a head and then she went screaming in pain as the little baby dropped to the ground, it was a doeling and she was huge as she was a single kid but she was very healthy and mom was feeling much better :)
JAN 7, 2012: And not to be outdone, Chaye (a first freshener) kidded 3 hours later with twins, 1 doeling and 1 buckling, all healthy :D

JAN 8, 2012: the next day, I woke up to yet another doe in labor, another first freshening doe, Merengue, kidded triplets, 2 bucklings and 1 tiny 4 lb baby girl :)
JAN 8, 2012: And finally, the doe who I thought was going to kid first in January was the last, but definitely not least, she surprised us with twin doelings at 12:30 pm.
